How it Works

  • Wood Original
  • Wood Max
  • Metal Channels
  • Hornet Hooks
  • Stingers
  • Step 1

Using the screws provided, attach the Beehive Picture Hangers® to the top corners of your frame.

    Step 2

Hold the frame up to the wall in the desired position and press against the top of the frame. Apply enough pressure so the small points on the front of the hangers mark your drywall. TIP: For a more noticeable mark, GENTLY jiggle the frame corners while pressing. Be sure to exercise care not to scratch your wall.

    Step 3

Insert the short end of the support pin into the Beehive Stinger and press into the wall where you made your mark. Be sure to insert at a downward angle so the rectangular plate is parallel to the wall as shown. Repeat for the second support pin.

    Step 4

Hang your frame on the support pins. If adjustment is required, simply lift the frame from the pin(s) and reinsert into another hole in the hanger.

  • Step 1

Using the screws provided, attach 2 Beehive Picture Hangers® to the top corners of your frame.

TIP: Attaching the Max hangers across the miter joints will help prevent joint separation on heavy frames (see Tip on left).

  • Step 1

Insert a screw into the hole on Beehive Picture Hanger flange, and hold the screw in place. Begin threading a rhombus nut onto the screw, making sure the side marked with an ‘X’ is facing the flange. Thread the screw into the rhombus nut until it becomes flush with the opposite side of the nut. Do not thread past flush. Repeat for second screw.

    Step 2

Position the rhombus nuts parallel to the frame channel and lower them into center of the channel.

TIP: For a more noticeable mark, GENTLY jiggle the frame corners while pressing. Be sure to exercise care not to scratch your wall.

    Step 3

Hold the hanger in position and begin turning the screws clockwise. While turning, the rhombus nuts should become flush against the inside of the channel. Turn until snug, and avoid over-tightening, as this may cause the flanges to bend. Repeat for second hanger.

    Step 4

Hold your frame up to the wall in the desired position, and press against the top of the frame. Apply enough pressure so the small points on the front of the hangers mark your drywall. TIP: For a more noticeable mark, GENTLY jiggle the frame corners while pressing. Be sure to exercise care not to scratch your wall.

    Step 5

Insert the short end of a support pin into the Beehive Stinger and press into the wall where you’ve made your mark. Be sure to insert at a downward angle so the rectangular plate on the support pin is parallel to the wall as shown. Repeat for the second support pin.

    Step 6

Hang your frame on the support pins. If adjustment is required, simply lift the frame from the pin(s) and reinsert into another hole in the hanger.

    Troubleshooting

If the rhombus nuts do not flush up against the inside of the channel when tightening (Step 3), try the following:

    1. Make sure the rhombus nuts are loose before tightening.
    2. Be sure the rhombus nuts are centered in the channel before tightening.
  • Step 1

Place the pointed end of the Hornet Hook against the drywall where you’ve made your marks. Now twist while applying forward pressure.

    Step 2

After the point passes through the drywall, turn the hook 180 degrees (upside down).

    Step 3

Press until the hook end is against the wall, and is the only portion of the hook visible. Repeat Steps 1-3 for second Hornet Hook.

    Step 4

Hang your frame on the hooks. If adjustment is required, simply lift the frame from the hook(s) and reinsert into another hole in the hanger.

  • Insert the short end of a support pin (included with your order) into the Beehive Stinger and press into the wall where you made your mark. Be sure to insert at a downward angle so the rectangular plate of the support pin is parallel to the wall as shown.Repeat for the second support pin.
